In a new notification issued by ICSI recently, a new initiative was revealed which is computer based examination in CS Foundation examinations instead of OMR based exams. Now ICSI also wants to make CS course more simpler by using e-exams. So, ICSI has changed CS Foundation exam pattern from June 2014. According to it CS Foundation exam will be computer based from June 2014 and no OMR exams will be taken from June 2014 attempt.
But one thing should be noted that in Computer Based Examinations (CBE ), exam patten /question pattern will be MCQ type, same likewise OMR based exams.
CS Foundation Computer Based Exam Scheme
The following is the scheme of Computer Based Examination:

Few Details :
Candidates would be required to sit before a computer terminal and use computer-mouse while attempting the questions. Computer Based Examination would be held in all those cities in India and aboard, where the Institute’s existing examinations are held. Details of examination centres/venues will be informed separately.
Questions would be displayed on the computer screen both in English as well as Hindi language except for Business Management, Ethics and Communication paper, for which questions shall be provided in English medium only.
The date of declaration of result of CBE would be published on the website of the Institute.
To familiarise students with Computer Based Examinations, Mock Test, FAQs, Examination Time Schedule, procedure to enroll for examination and Instructions to Examinees, etc. would shortly be hosted on the Institute’s website.
