A student who has passed the Class 10 examination and want to become the CA can register for CPT exam. A registered student may appear in CPT after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination* (10+2 examination).
CPT exams are held twice a year in the months of June and December. Next CPT exam will be held in June 2017, check CPT June 2017 Exam Date for more details of June 2017 CPT exam.
To appear for CA CPT, a student have to register with ICAI for CA CPT before the cut-off dates given as under.
Last date of Registration for CPT June 2017
In order to appear for CA CPT Dec 2016 exam, you will have to register before the last date of CPT registration which is 3rd April 2017 with ICAI.
General Rule: A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which CPT examination is to be held i.e. on or before 1st April and 1st October can appear in the CPT examination to be held in June and December respectively. Common Proficiency Test examinations are held in June & December every year.
So, if you want to appear for CPT June 2017, you will have to register before 3rd April, 2017. So, we can say the last date for CA CPT registration for June 2017 exam is 1st April, 2017. (SOURCE)

CPT course has four subjects in which you must have to get at least 30% in all subject in order to pass the CPT exams, read more >CA CPT 30% Passing Marks Rule. So, follow above rule to appear for CA CPT June 2017, & register before the last date of CPT registration for CA CPT Dec 2016 exam as above.

A registration is valid for 3 years after that a revalidation fee of 300 for CPT is required .and than u will be able for next three years…
